Drawing an R in Cursive
When writing a capitol R in cursive you just need to make a regular R and attach a small slant on the upper right of the R. You should also slightly slant the R leaning right, just like you would with any other cursive letters in the alphabet. The lower case r, or small r, is a little bit different to make. The image below shows you what a lower case r should look like in cursive. Start at the bottom line and draw a slanted, slightly curved line up to the middle dotted line. Then draw a short, sharp line to the right and down a little bit. Then draw a curve that goes downward and to the left and then swirls around to the right. You'll notice by the cursive alphabet chart below that the "r" is one of only a few letters that is already pre-equipped to connect to letters before it and after it. That's why you don't see any red lines on the r in the picture below.
